The Original Birthplace of Czech Crystal.

There is only one place on earth—the Crystal Valley—where more than 470 years of glassmaking tradition, unique natural resources, and a love of crystal come together. It was in 1680 that crystal was born here, in the Crystal Valley. Shortly thereafter came the world's first cut and polished stone, the first majestic chandelier, and the smallest of treasures, the crystal bead. It was also here that man first created magical, brilliant, everlasting crystal jewelry.

The Crystal Valley is also the home of our Czech Crystal.

The Crystal Valley is located in the heart of Europe, in the north of the Czech Republic. The first glass furnace was lit in 1548 amid the natural splendor of the Jizera Mountains and the Lusatian Mountains. Since then, the uninterrupted tradition of fine glass craftsmanship has led to the creation of many companies, including Preciosa, which became one of the most important glass companies in the world.
